February 7 is midway day for #45. 

We're looking for pews, benches, rocking chairs, loungers, swings, gliders, etc. items likely to be seen on a porch or deck.

 These entries can be for any season of year. Your porch/deck furniture is about being outdoors and capturing it for the occasion/sentiment of your choosing.

Show us your countryside charm.

The card construction time is lengthy for this but the set of heart swing-fold card bases does come with the pattern pieces on the back side of the product label. And using coordinating papers from 2 sets by Stampin' Up also helped make the different sections visually interesting.

For my (FQCB owner) reminder inspiration project, I have crafted an art journal page! My goal was to include 4 different mediums beside the background papers. I think I've got 6 plus fussy cut grouped image from a collage print cardstock 12" square sheet. 

doodling, 3 clipart images (2 that are gray and white and 1 colored), 1 fussy cut grouping, fabric, threads, stapling, stamping

Wanted to have a travel theme and came up with the phrases to place on the clouds. I've got lots of friends and relatives that are doing more traveling this year so it will go to 1 of these lucky peeps! A bit jealous! However I did have a 3-3.5 hour road trip with my husband, mom, and our doggie last weekend to see my nephew (mom's youngest grandson) graduate from high school.

Theme #26 is about bandanas.

Bandanas are an iconic western wear handkerchief design pattern that typically has paisleys either as a border print or throughout the overall print design. 

For my (FQCB owner) reminder inspiration project, I have a bandana print set up as a border/frame:

[FQCB #26 theme required element: black and white clipart image of a bandana print frame was printed on white cardstock and then an aqua blue ink pad was randomly applied. The center white area was cut out in order for the floral print panel to be seen.]

I'm so glad I bought this set about 6+/- months ago. Most of the time I've been hoarding it, however this Theme #25 has 'allowed' me to use it twice!

Farmer's Market Destination card

[theme #24 AFCG elements= farm truck with chickens and flowers illustration, chicken sticker, embossed sunflower die-cut, sunflower fabric strip, and buffalo plaid scrap]

I've upcycled a notecard front and sticker from a set that I was gifted from a niece which helped save some time on putting this together. I wanted to add more farm, rural country touches to the wonderful illustration.

It's already midway day of Theme #23! 

Competition started February 28 and will end on March 13, 2023 at 12:30am CST/Chicago or 6:30am UK. With February only having 28 days, that makes Theme #23 about 2-3 days shorter than other months. So don't forget about FarmQuest (or its new spin-off blog, FarmQuest General Store)!

Artist Trading Cards are 2.5" x 3.5" for size. The die-cut tag is from Echo Park's Farmers Market collection. The mason filled jar stamp was part of set bought at Dollar Tree!!! Yes! This is perfect to prop in a tiered tray for my kitchen counter!

Colored pencils were used for the images trying to give a sunset look to the sky background and to have the horses and wagon straddling between dirt and grass.

FQCB Reminder Theme #18 Anything Farm Country Goes competition started 14 Dec 2022

Anything Farm Country Goes (AFCG) just refers to anything rural country outdoors or country home topic related. Our family had a few station wagons while growing up in the 1960s-70s! We even had several vacations with our maternal grandparents traveling with us. They went with us to Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, Mesa Verde, and the Grand Canyon when I was turning 7. Grandma was passing out chewing gum to us when driving up and down those Colorado mountains in order to help our ears with the pressure changes! Who else did that??? 

Lots of die-cut ephemera were mixed to create this nostalgic outdoors travel themed card.

"Fish the Great Rivers" Notecard

I haven't made a left side folded card for quite awhile. I unraveled the cording to resemble fish lures. Theme requirements are met with the fish image and multiple fishing equipment images that include the terrific patterned cardstock and the die-cut on the left!
