---//---xX---\\---Xx---

here's another inspiration project made by me/owner Becca--

Farmer's Market Destination card

[theme #24 AFCG elements= farm truck with chickens and flowers illustration, chicken sticker, embossed sunflower die-cut, sunflower fabric strip, and buffalo plaid scrap]

I've upcycled a notecard front and sticker from a set that I was gifted from a niece which helped save some time on putting this together. I wanted to add more farm, rural country touches to the wonderful illustration.

FQCB Theme #24 is Anything Farm Country Goes or AFCG starts 14 March 2023

 Howdy! Welcome to the farm!

FarmQuest Challenge Blog's Theme #24 is Anything Farm Country Goes!

YES!! Anything outdoors, farm/ranch, woods, lake or pond life, fishing, camping, gardening/orchard/farmers market, farm animals, wagons, tractors, etc.

March 14-27, 2023 with start and end times of 12:30am CST/Chicago or 6:30am UK.

Check the blog's main page sidebar for the acceptable formats and rules.

----------------------

The themes shared since December 28th have been: outdoor snow sporting events like ice skating and sledding, cowboy gear (hats, boots, spurs), hay/straw, Mason jars, and galvanized tin or wooden containers.

I won't recall all of 2022 themes since we started in late March but some of those have been country roads/paths, pickup trucks, plaid, denim, baskets, cherries, buckets, animals, wagons, porch furniture, quilts, etc.

Still need some inspiration? Here's the latest from our very talented DT members:

NanaConnie=

[Farm Country elements: sunflower, wood crate, apples]

Sweet!

NanaConnie used KLM image that she colored with Promarkers. The papers were scrap and definitely put to good use! The analogous color scheme is refreshing and definitely suits this cute gnome!

Dottie=

[Theme #24 is AFCG= Dottie's selected a farmhouse and barn themed collection and tiered tray die-cuts and paper]

Farm-tastic! I love the faded denim colors repeated in the rose, fishtail tag, rickrack, and barn paper! The tiered tray die-cut focal is very trendy in mercantiles and boutiques throughout the country in 2022-2023.

Diane

[AFCG theme #24 elements: silo, windmill, fields, farmhouses and barns]

Die-cuts!! Wow! Incredible! Diane emailed that her 'crazy' ideas for this card required a lot of hours, 2 hours just to assemble and adhere the die-cuts! But worth it! How spectacular!

owner Becca=

[AFCG theme elements: buffalo plaid, barn siding, hexagon/chicken wire print, sunflower print fabric, farmhouse kitchen die-cuts and stenciled fussy cuts]

Wow! I've been wanting to use a stencil sheet of different kitchen tools that I bought at Dollar Tree (yes!) during the past holiday season and thought this AFCG theme for FQCB would be a great time to use the apron and 2 oven mitts from the stencil sheet! I  traced the shapes with a black ink pen onto white cardstock then did a thin layer of blue acrylic paint. Then some gold glitter acrylic paint was dabbed in several spots on each piece. Outlining with a permanent black marker came next. Black edging followed. Then random marks with 3 different Memento inks were added last. I wanted the apron and mitts to look well-worn.

---//-----xXx-----\\---

Thanks gals for always creating marvelous FarmQuest inspiration!

-------------------------

Now it's time to go on your stash quest and/or digital quest for farm/rural country topics and create for FQCB! Deadline is early on March 27, 2023. Bragging rights known as Barnraisers are possible for Top 3 (1-40 entries) and Top 5 (41+ entries).

How festive this tractor is! Christmas dinner next to decorating at the tractor! I also love the 55%/45% split background with the traditional red and green! Wonderful ideas shared on this card made by the ultra talented Janis! Thanks for your Guest Designer inspiration projects during 2022!!!

and

from FQCB owner Becca S:

Our family had a few station wagons while growing up in the 1960s-70s! We even had several vacations with our maternal grandparents traveling with us. They went with us to Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, Mesa Verde, and the Grand Canyon when I was turning 7. Grandma was passing out chewing gum to us when driving up and down those Colorado mountains in order to help our ears with the pressure changes! Who else did that???

Lots of die-cut ephemera were mixed to create this nostalgic outdoors travel themed card.

Surrounding the truck die-cut with the different leafy foliage patterns is a super idea! Helps create an outdoors-y look!

There's an idea for my husband and I to do--traveling/mobile Christmas party tailgate style!!! Adorable image! Thanks Janis for creating this fabulous card! And for sharing your marvelous talents with us several times since starting in late February! We value your support of our efforts at FarmQuest!

FQCB Theme #11 Anything Farm Country Goes Challenge

Howdy! Welcome to the farm--farm and rural country life topics are the creativity themes for FarmQuest Challenge Blog!

Theme #11 for August 28-September 13, 2022

is a new theme type for us to try since FQCB started in late March 2022. I'm thinking to put this in the schedule once every 3 months. If you would like this to be offered every 2 weeks, comment on this posting or place a note in your FQCB listing in your blog post for me to read.

I'm calling it Anything Farm Country Goes.

Your project(s) must reflect farm/rural country topics. Possible categories are: farming/ranching, farmers markets/produce stands, orchards, gardens, camping, hiking, dirt or gravel roads, pond/lake life, fishing, covered bridges, quaint country church scenes, hayrides, sleigh rides, hay baling or other planting or harvesting farm topics, clothing/fabric/patterns like denim, plaid, gingham, straw hats, jeans, overalls, etc.

*****

FQCB owner Becca S has a denim with faux straw/mesh card project:

Peachy tan specialty paper 6" square base with a 5" x 7" kraft patterned cardstock background with a 4" x 6" denim patterned paper on top. Straw-looking mesh, a sentiment tag, some amber heart gems, 2 layered leaf die-cut stickers, and 1 sunflower textured sticker are the embellishments. Most of those have an autumn season connection.

also has 2 Garden Harvest topic card projects to share:

Card base is the light yellow topped with kraft brown. I love the striped ribbon that I purchased several years ago! The textured foil leaves add shine. The wood laser die-cut came painted orange, so I just handwrote "Grateful" onto it. 3 amber gold crystal gems are the last embellishments.

and

Card base is the aqua topped with the dark brown wood siding cardstock by Fancy Pants Designs' Lake Life paper pad. A pumpkin shaped doily becomes the large backdrop focal. 2 die-cut ephemera from Simple Stories (flower trio and scooter), along with a orange glitter wood laser die-cut pumpkin and a sentiment posy complete this country harvest card.

(for card #2: I only had a scooter die-cut to use but would have enjoyed showing a golf cart. My hubs and I are able to share my mom's and it's a nice way to ride out around her farm or for us to bring to our little 1400 people community!!! We've got 2 town friends that live about 2 blocks away that stop by on their wheelchair-type motorized scooters. Another 2 town friends living about 3 blocks north of us ride their bikes by quite a bit in the spring and fall.)

____________________________________________

Now it's your turn to take a quest through your supplies and create 1-3 "Anything Farm Country Goes" projects to enter. Acceptable formats are: cards, ATCs, bookmarks, tags, TN/journal/planner spreads, and/or scrapbook layouts.

Competition period is August 28-September 13, 2022.

The challenge end time will be 12:30am on September 13th.
