I like partnering the scattered wheat and white flower print cardstock with the dandelion plant. I also like coming across the 'dream' label on an unnamed sheet in one of my stash boxes. I so enjoy mixing prints and vendors!

FarmQuest's #26 Theme of Bandanas received just 2 participants!

Bandanas is such a classic identifying fabric and print for farm and ranch life. If you're seeing this after the competition is over, our spin-off blog, FarmQuest General Store is an always farm/country anything goes themed blog that runs longer and differently than FQCB. So create a bandana project and enter at FQGS. 

And of course check back after 12:30am CT/Chicago April 28, 2023 for the new theme at FQCB.

Isn't this the cutest?!! And perfect for this theme! The little cow-bear has a red bandana tied around the throat and then has the bandana paisley print as her background! Perfect farm/country match-up!

This is also the cutest!! Also perfect for the theme! Another perfect farm/country match-up with a cowgirl and her coordinating stationery! Katrina styled the background like an envelope secured with twine.

FQCB Theme #26 REMINDER post for theme of bandana ending on 27 April 2023

Howdy! Yippee! Hard to believe the #26 theme is already to its midway point!

Seems like FarmQuest Theme #26 just started!

Theme #26 is about bandanas.

Bandanas are an iconic western wear handkerchief design pattern that typically has paisleys either as a border print or throughout the overall print design. 

For my (FQCB owner) reminder inspiration project, I have a bandana print set up as a border/frame:

[FQCB #26 theme required element: black and white clipart image of a bandana print frame was printed on white cardstock and then an aqua blue ink pad was randomly applied. The center white area was cut out in order for the floral print panel to be seen.]

Design inspiration projects for Theme #26 Bandana(s):

DT member Diane:

[FQCB Theme #26 requirements: bandana print paper and little cowgirl wearing a tied bandana; other farm/country elements of 'howdy' and worn painted wood paper]

Diane's blessed with Silhouette "howdy" die-cut and the bandana print paper. The cowgirl image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and colored with pencils. Superb coloring for "Dale", Diane!! What a charming farm country card!

DT member Nana Connie:

[Theme #26 required element= bandana print made by scanned photo of a real bandana printed on purple cardstock; other farm/country elements: "always country", horse head, and horseshoe]

NanaConnie's lucky horse and horseshoe die-cuts are terrific accents centered within the classic bandana print! Definitely 'always country'! NanaConnie said she applied a bit of bleach to the horse in order to get a bit of color tonal difference against the horseshoe! That was some smart thinking.

[FQCB #26 requirements: bandana print clipart image; other farm/country elements are sunflower and barn siding print paper torn strips]

The image was printed on white cardstock at 4.5" square and then mounted on a 5" square of caramel cardstock and then onto 6" square of black cardstock for base. Image was pounced randomly with cantaloupe/yellow-orange and brown nutmeg Memento ink pads. A long strip of barn siding paper was torn into 4 pieces to accent opposite corners. Sunflower die-cut added to center with a sentiment tag.

When: FarmQuest Theme #25 ended at 12:30am CST/Chicago or 6:30am UK on Thursday April 13, 2023

What: Theme #25 had 3 options: Frogs, Toads, or Mushrooms/Toadstools

Who: There were 12 submissions! This was a difficult process trying to whittle down the selection process to just recognizing 3 projects! The 3 Barnraisers are: Katrina B, Jose, and Zowie!! Congrats to these farm-tastic artisans!!

Thanks to all the farm-tastic artisans who took time to create these pond and wetland/woodsy scenes with frogs and mushrooms/toadstools!! It's been incredible to have such an amazing variety of interpretations with these 3 theme options! So fun to look at these! All the entries brought smiles to my face every time I looked at the submissions! Well done!

My card for the reminder post was to use another designer cardstock print and it's reverse side from Craft Consortium's Into The Forest cardstock pad.

I'm so glad I bought this set about 6+/- months ago. Most of the time I've been hoarding it, however this Theme #25 has 'allowed' me to use it twice!

There's a DT Call announcement in the main launch posting for #25. FQCB needs someone possibly short-term for about 3 months. This could expand into long-term if wanted. I'd also like another individual to start as soon as possible for long-term. It would be great to have a crafter who likes to do non-card formats, since we accept other formats than just cards.
